Perfect breakfast food for people on the run. Blueberries are in season so use them while they’re fresh!
Ingredients
½ cup cranberry juice
½ cup frozen whole acai berries or acai berry pulp, partially thawed
Seeds of 1 pomegranate
1 cup blueberries or cooked elderberries
Directions
In a blender, combine cranberry juice, acai berries, pomegranate seeds and blueberries. Secure lid and blend (from low to high if using a variable speed blender) until smooth.
Note: Raw elderberries can make some people sick. Always cook in a small amount of water, cool and drain.
Nada’s Tips & Tricks: Check out the “healthy aisle” of your grocery store. Sometimes found in the frozen section. Change up the blueberries to whatever is in season or another favourite fruit from the frozen section.
