September 12 will find the main street of Windsor NS celebrating the garlic bulb in fun and educating ways. Kathy Monroe of Makers Art Gallery began this festivity years ago and handed it off to the municipality to carry on the fun. It has grown to over 100 vendors, all selling garlic-related goodies. Try the garlic & ginger ice cream or enter the garlic eating contest, then sit back and listen to the music playing on stage.
