The Newfoundland Buzz Christmas Shed Slush

This drink has a “fun” twist and that is the addition of cannabis oil which is legally available in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.  Of course, Cannabis Oil is not an essential ingredient in this recipe and can be omitted if desired.

Ingredients

2 L Pineapple Crush Pop*

2 cups pineapple juice

½ cup fresh lime juice

3-4 cups dark rum (or Screech)

3 oz pineapple liqueur

15 cups water

1 cup brown sugar

Cannabis Oil (infused with MCT oil) **

*While this ingredient may be unknown to you, Pineapple Crush is made in NL by the makers of Pepsi and is immensely popular.

**The dosage for this batch depends on the user’s tolerance.

Direction

Mix the Pineapple Crush Pop, pineapple juice, lime juice, rum, pineapple liqueur, water, sugar and the desired amount of cannabis oil.

Freeze the mixture.

To serve, scoop the slush into glasses with a splash of Pineapple Crush Pop for a fizzy finish. Garnish with a slice of fresh pineapple and a sprig of mint for a tropical and refreshing touch.

Nada’s Tips & Tricks: For those of us “from away” replace the Pineapple Crush for more pineapple juice and a favourite light-coloured carbonated drink (Sprite, Ginger Ale, Club Soda).
