Merry & Bright Whipped Cream

from Tea of Light

This whipped cream is delicious on top of a hot cup of tea or your favourite holiday cake, pie, cookie or treat.

Ingredients

1 cup cold heavy cream (our choice is organic)
2 tablespoons Merry & Bright holiday tea 
1 tablespoon of honey or your favourite sweetener

Directions

Place the cream and Merry & Bright loose-leaf tea in a jar, stir gently, and seal.  Place the jar in the refrigerator for about 10 hours or overnight. The tea will slowly cold brew into the cream.

At the same time, chill a mixing bowl.

Pour the tea infused cream through a fine mesh strainer over the chilled mixing bowl. It’s ok if some specks of the tea remain. It will add a beautiful color to the cream. Add the sweetener to the tea-infused cream.

Using a mixer, beat the cream mixture on medium speed until the formation of soft or medium peaks. This takes from 4 to 6 minutes.

Serve this festive whipped cream immediately.
