Eat Delicious

It’s clear…author and chef Dennis the Prescott loves food…and it shows in this Awesome (!) book packed with amazing recipes and the stories behind them.

I first discovered this chef on his series, “Restaurants on the Edge” and to find that he had written a cookbook put a smile on my face. Dennis has also made a name for himself on his talented Instagram page where his food photography will have you salivating and heading to the kitchen with his inspiration in hand.

Eat Delicious showcases everyday ingredients like eggs, burgers and noodles, and puts a global spin on familiar dishes. Peppered throughout the book are tidbits of inspiration and information on how to time Christmas dinner, elevate the under-valued sidekicks to their deserved glory and why noodles make us happy.

I am a huge salad fanatic and whenever I find a recipe that puts a fresh and filling spin on it, I’m all in. Dennis’ Wicked Strawberry-Pistachio Broccoli and Candied Maple-Bacon Salad did not disappoint. A perfect side to a great steak or on its own with a glass of Riesling, vegetarians (omit the bacon) and carnivores (double the bacon!) will be equally happy.
