Lemon Ginger Rooibos Tea & Fruit Smoothie

Serves 1

Ingredients

  • 2 rooibos tea bags
  • 1/3 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen fruit
  • ¼ tsp ginger
  • ½ tsp lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Place tea bags in boiling water and let steep for five minutes.
  2. Discard tea bags and let tea cool completely.
  3. Add all ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth.

Nada’s Tips & Tricks:  you can change this recipe up with different fruit, teas and spices.  The possibilities are endless!  We used one bag of Lemon Ginger & one bag of Turmeric Ginger Rooibos Tea (skipping the added ginger) with strawberries and raspberries – refreshing and filling!  Check out www.genuinetea.ca for the best Rooibos tea.
